“So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith.”
Galatians 6:10 (ESV)
We send monthly support to the Mid-western Children’s Home and Potter’s Children’s Home.
We provide food for those of the community in need. During the holiday season we make an extra effort to take care of those in our community and in 2012 we helped to feed 50 families who would not have had food otherwise.
Our pantry is different from others in our area because our definition of need is assumed based on the request of the individual for food assistance. As such we do not have a monthly limit on food distribution like other feeding programs. The focus of the pantry is on the needs of the residents of Grove City, Ohio; however, no one is sent away hungry.
The Southwestern Church of Christ food pantry is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The pantry is accessed by calling the church office at 614-875-4395 and leaving a message if no one answers. The phone messages are checked frequently if no one is in the office.
The Southwestern congregation works in cooperation with several central Ohio congregations to provides worship services for the residents of the Willowbrook Nursing Home in Delaware.
