Here are some of the activities available for the youth
One of the most essential elements of our faith is our worship to God. Every Sunday after a period of singing and the Lord’s Supper the children are dismissed to a Children’s worship session where they sing songs in worship and hear a lesson specially prepared for them.
For one week during the summer the teens are given the opportunity to go to Northwestern Ohio Christian Youth Camp. This week gives teens the opportunity to see the beauty of God in nature. It is also a full week of bible classes, worship sessions, sports, crafts, swimming and other camp activities. For many teens church camp can be one of the most meaningful spiritual experiences of the year.
One Sunday night per month we dedicate our evening service to our children. During this service parents are encouraged to spend time with their children by attending a Bible class designed for the children. By participating in singing and a Bible lesson with their children parents not only help their children learn but also see how their children learn.
Once a quarter the children get together and go to a movie, have a fun activity, craft, or service project based on their level of understanding.
Throughout the year the teens participate in various service activities in the community. Service projects help the kids to put their faith into action. These activities range from visiting older Christians, to building projects, and any other service project that we have opportunity to participate in.
Every July the congregation hosts a Vacation Bible School (VBS). VBS gives kids and teens an opportunity to see the Bible come to life, invite their friends friends to church, and find out that faith can be fun. Click Here For More Information
Each Sunday and Wednesday there are Bible classes for the children that teach them Bible stories and important life lessons from the Bible. These Bible classes are designed to develop their faith in God and to prepare to become a Christian.
